ELON, N.C. - Elon University men's tennis extended its winning streak to eight on Tuesday, March 15, defeating Coastal Carolina, 4-3, in Conway, S.C. The win moved the Phoenix to 8-4 overall this season.
 
"Really tough, gritty win by our guys today," head coach Michael Leonard opened. "We've been dealing with a few injuries and needed some guys to step up and they did that today. I was really proud of Condos for battling to get us the third point and Campbell for clinching the match at No. 2. It was a good win against a good program."

HIGHLIGHTS
- Daniel Martin got the ball rolling for Elon in singles play, defeating Diego Giraldo 6-1, 7-6(4) in the No. 3 spot. The win was the seventh straight for Martin as he sits at a team-best 8-2 in singles play and holds a perfect 7-0 mark in the No. 3 spot.
- Nicholas Campbell clinched the match for the Phoenix, outlasting Federico Garnier 7-5, 3-6, 6-2 in No. 2 singles. The performance marked the sixth win of the year for Campbell and his fifth in a row.
- Nicholas Condos got back on track, taking down Niccolo Rossi 6-4, 1-6, 6-2 in a three-set battle. Condos earned his second win of the year with the performance.
- Ben Zipay rounded out the singles wins for Elon, finishing Carlos Berna Ruiz in three sets 6-4, 2-6, 6-2. The win marked the fifth straight for Zipay and moved him to 1-1 in No. 5 singles this season.
- The combination of Martin and Chung-Han Tsai won the lone doubles match of the day, making quick work of Giraldo and Garnier 6-2 in the No. 1 position. The win moved the duo to a team-best 7-3 this season and marked its second in a row.
