ELON, N.C. - Elon University men's tennis dropped a close match to No. 65 Clemson, 4-3, on Sunday, March 27, in Clemson, S.C.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Nicholas Campbell led the way for Elon in singles play, defeating Spencer Whitaker 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 in the No. 3 spot. The win was the seventh of the year for Campbell as he sits at 7-7 in singles play.
- Camilo Ponce earned his fifth win on Sunday, outlasting Jorge Plans Gonzalez 5-7, 6-4, 10- 7 in a three-set tiebreaker. Ponce moved to 5-6 overall and 4-5 in the No. 4 position with the performance.
- Nicholas Condos got back on track, outlasting Matt Pitts 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 in a battle. The win marked the third overall for Condos and was his first in the No. 5 slot.
- The combination of Condos and Campbell led Pitts and Gonzalez 5-4 in their match at No. 3 doubles, but the match went unfinished due to Clemson clinching the doubles point.
- Daniel Martin and Ben Zipay nearly helped give Elon the win but lost their matches in three sets respectively. Martin dropped a 5-7, 7-5, 6-2 decision to Ryuhei Azuma in the No. 2 slot, while Zipay fell to Maxwell Smith in a close 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 battle in the No. 6 position.
