ELON, N.C.-- Elon women's lacrosse will take on Furman in its first road matchup of the season on Saturday, March 5 at 2 p.m.

-The Phoenix (1-4) recorded its first win of the season on March 2 as it posted a 22-20 victory over Campbell.

Hannah McCarthy paced the Phoenix with a career-high five goals on six shots, while
Sammy Fisher recorded the first hat trick of her career with three goals on four shots. Her goals were also the first of her career.
-Gillian Curran's career-high 12 draw controls tied for second most in a single game by a Colonial Athletic Association player. Curran also led the team in ground balls (4) while adding one goal and one assist.
-In goal,
Chloe Herghelegiu totaled eight saves on the night to increase her total to 30 on the season.
-The Phoenix is led by ninth-year head coach

SCOUTING FURMAN
-The Paladins enter the game with an 0-1 record, including a 20-7 loss to No. 2 North Carolina in its season opener on Feb. 16.
-Against the Tar Heels, Hannah Dintino and Anna Roser paced the Furman offense with two goals apiece, while Lily Rathbun made nine saves.
-The Paladins were picked to finish fourth in the Big South preseason poll. Ditino and Meagan Beal were also named Big South Preseason All-Conference.
-The head coach of Furman is Kirkland Lewis.
