ELON, N.C.-- Elon University women's lacrosse will continue conference play with an 11 a.m. matchup against Delaware at Rudd Field on Saturday, April 16.

THE SERIES
-The Phoenix leads the overall series 4-2.
-The Blue Hens won the last matchup in overtime (12-11), which took place on March 7, 2020 in Newark.
 
ABOUT ELON
-The Phoenix enters the weekend with a 5-8 (1-2 CAA) record on the season.
-Elon fell to No. 11 James Madison in its most recent game in April 9, 18-2.
-In the draw circle, Emma Flynn paced the Phoenix with three draw controls for a season high.
-Kiley Selquist and Paige Brown tied for the team high in ground balls with three apiece.
-Collectively, Elon currently leads the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) in shots percentage (.459) and draw controls per game (14.92). Gillian Curran is also tied for second in the conference in draw controls per game (5.08).
-The Phoenix is led by ninth-year head coach Josh Hexter. 
 
SCOUTING DELAWARE
-The Blue Hens (4-9, 1-2 CAA) defeated William & Mary in its last game on April 9, 13-11.
-Danika Swech paced the Blue Hen offense with a career-high four goals and two assists, while Mercy McCarthy recorded 12 saves for her third-straight game with 10 or more stops.
-The Blue Hens were picked to finish sixth in the CAA preseason poll.
-The head coach of Delaware is Amy Altig.
