ELON, N.C. – Elon University women's lacrosse came up short against Delaware on April 16, 13-6.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-It was a tight first half as neither team scored more than five goals in the first 30 minutes of play. With the score tied at three at the end of the opening quarter,
Sammy Fisher scored the lone Phoenix goal in the second frame as the Blue Hens took a 5-4 lead at the half.
-Delaware scored the first goal of the second half to grow its lead to two (6-4), but back-to-back goals from
Bella Feldmann tied the game at six (10:05, 3Q).
-The Blue Hens took over from there, outscoring Elon 7-0 in the remaining time to come away with the win.

NOTES
-Feldmann paced the Phoenix offense with two goals, followed by Fisher,
Bridget Kelly,
Hannah McCarthy and
Kaley Ehnow with one apiece.
-
Mikaela Buoscio tied two Delaware players for the game high in ground balls (3), making a new personal best. The sophomore also had one caused turnover.
-
Gillian Curran led the maroon and gold in draw controls (5).
-In goal,
Paige Brown (3-5) totaled a season-high 10 saves.
-With the loss, the Phoenix falls to 5-9 (1-3 CAA) on the season.
