Phoenix Set to Square Off Against Drexel on Senior Day Saturday

ELON, N.C.-- Elon University women's lacrosse will face Drexel on Senior Day at noon on Saturday, April 23.

THE SERIES
-The Phoenix enters the weekend on a four-game win streak against the Dragons, owning a 4-1 all-time record.
-Elon won the last matchup 13-11, which took place over three years ago on April 5, 2019.
 
ABOUT ELON
-The Phoenix holds a 5-9 (1-3 CAA) record on the season.
-Elon came up short against Delaware in its last game on April 16, 13-8.
-Bella Feldmann paced the Phoenix offense with two goals, followed by Sammy Fisher, Bridget Kelly, Hannah McCarthy and Kaley Ehnow with one apiece.
-Mikaela Buoscio tied two Delaware players for the game high in ground balls (3) for a new career high.
-In goal, Paige Brown totaled a season-high 10 saves.
-Gillian Curran comes into the game ranked fourth in the conference in draw controls per game (5.07). 
-The Phoenix is led by ninth-year head coach Josh Hexter
 
SCOUTING DREXEL
-The Dragons (8-6, 3-1 CAA) defeated Hofstra in its last game on April 13, 18-7. Corinne Bednarik recorded 10 total points on four goals and six assists in addition to a team-high 14 draw controls. Her assists broke Drexel's single-game record (5), while her points matched the single-game record.
-For her performance against the Pride, Bednarik earned her first Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Player of the Week honor.
-The Dragons were picked to finish second in the CAA preseason poll. Karson Harris, Colleen Grady and Lucy Schneidereith were named to the preseason all-conference team, while Corinne Bednarik, Zoe Bennett and Belle McHugh were tabbed honorable mention. Harris was also selected as the CAA Preseason Player of the Year.
-The head coach of Drexel is Kim Hillier.
