ELON, N.C.-- Elon University women's lacrosse will face Hofstra in its final game of the regular season on Saturday, April 30 at noon.

THE SERIES
-The Phoenix leads the overall series, 3-2.
-Hofstra won at last matchup 10-6, which took place on April 17, 2019 at Rudd Field.
 
ABOUT ELON
-The Phoenix enters the weekend with a 5-10 (1-4 CAA) record on the season.
-Elon came up short against Drexel in its final regular-season home game on April 23, 14-13.  
-Gillian Curran paced the Phoenix with four goals and one assist. The senior also added two draw controls and two ground balls.
-Bella Feldmann finished with a hat trick on five shots while collecting two ground balls.
-Freshman Emma Flynn scored her first goal of her career in addition to posting a team-best six draw controls for a season high.
-The Phoenix is led by ninth-year head coach Josh Hexter. 
 
SCOUTING HOFSTRA
-The Pride (8-7, 2-3 CAA) is currently tied for fourth in the conference standings. 
-Hofstra defeated William & Mary in its last game on April 23, 18-11. Kerry Walser totaled a career-high five goals, while Jackie Gatti posted six points on two goals and four assists.  
-The Pride was picked to finish fourth in the CAA preseason poll. Shannon Boyle and Katie Whelan were named to the Preseason All-Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Team, while Jess Smith was named honorable mention.
