HARRISONBURG, Va. – Elon University women's lacrosse fell to No. 11 James Madison on April 9, 18-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Bridget Kelly scored the lone Phoenix goal of the first half less than two minutes into the game.   
-From there, the Dukes had the momentum as James Madison scored all but one of the goals in the remainder of the afternoon.
-Cate Mackel scored the final Elon goal on a free position shot with 3:29 on the clock in the fourth quarter for her 14^th goal of the season.

NOTES
-In the draw circle, Emma Flynn paced the Phoenix with three draw controls for a season high. Abbey Rose and Gillian Curran followed with two apiece.
-Kiley Selquist and Paige Brown tied for the team high in ground balls with three apiece.
-JMU entered the game ranked 11^th in the nation in the latest weekly ILWomen/IWLCA Division I Poll.
-With the loss, Elon holds a 5-8 (1-2 CAA) record on the season.
