HARRISONBURG, Va. – Elon University women's lacrosse fell to No. 11 James Madison on April 9, 18-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Bridget Kelly scored the lone Phoenix goal of the first half less than two minutes into the game. Â Â
-From there, the Dukes had the momentum as James Madison scored all but one of the goals in the remainder of the afternoon.

Cate Mackel scored the final Elon goal on a free position shot with 3:29 on the clock in the fourth quarter for her 14
th goal of the season.
NOTES
-In the draw circle,
Emma Flynn paced the Phoenix with three draw controls for a season high.
Abbey Rose and
Gillian Curran followed with two apiece.

Kiley Selquist and
Paige Brown tied for the team high in ground balls with three apiece.
-JMU entered the game ranked 11
th in the nation in the latest weekly ILWomen/IWLCA Division I Poll.
-With the loss, Elon holds a 5-8 (1-2 CAA) record on the season.
