ELON, N.C. – Elon University baseball is well-represented in summer ball this year as the Phoenix has 17 players competing in seven different collegiate summer baseball leagues. Below is a rundown of where everyone is playing and how you can follow each team.
Appalachian League
Luke Stephenson is playing for the
Danville Otterbots, who are off to a 5-3 start and sit in second place in the league's East Division behind
Sam DiLella's 8-0
Burlington Sock Puppets squad. Stephenson had a solid day at the plate in a 12-5 win over the Greenville Flyboys this past Tuesday, finishing 2-for-4 with two doubles, three RBIs and one run scored. DiLella tossed 3.2 innings on Thursday, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks with three strikeouts. Cal Ripken League
Connor Offshack is in his second stint with the
Alexandria Aces, who sit in third place in the league standings at 1-1. He scored a run, drove in another and walked twice to help the Aces to an 8-4 win over the Olney Cropdusters on Tuesday. Offshack then followed with a 1-for-3 outing in an 11-4 loss to the Gaithersburg Giants on Thursday, adding one walk to his totals. Cape Cod League
Elon has two players in the Cape Cod League:
Joe Savino is a member of the
Harwich Mariners and
Cole Reynolds is with the
Orleans Firebirds. Coastal Plain League
Willie Havens with the Tri-City Chili Peppers
Willie Havens returns to the
Tri-City Chili Peppers for the second year in a row and is hitting .300 (6-for-20) with one home run, four runs, three RBIs, three walks and one stolen base. The Chili Peppers are currently second in the East Division at 7-3 and can be found on Twitter (@GoChiliPeppers) and Insgram (@gochilipeppers).
Connor Coolahan and the
Holly Springs Salamanders are currently fifth in the East Division at 5-5. Coolahan owns a .267 (4-for-15) average with seven runs, one RBI and three bases on balls. You can find the Salamanders on Twitter (@HHSalamanders) and Instagram (@hssalamanders). Also playing in the Coastal Plain League is
Will Vergantino, who is on the

New England Collegiate Baseball League
Alex Duffey and
Justin Cassella are teammates on the
North Shore Navigators squad

Griffin Arnone is playing for the
Bristol Blues, which sits atop the West Division standings at 2-1. The New Canaan, Conn. native owns a .333 (3-for-9) clip with two runs and two walks. Parker Haskin, who is with the 1-1
Newport Gulls team that sits in second place in the Coastal Division. The catcher is batting 1-for-4 (.250) and helped the Gulls to an 8-7 victory over the Mystic Schooners on Wednesday as he doubled in the deciding run to finish 1-for-1. Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League
Itai Spinoza is spending his summer with the

South Florida Collegiate League
Nicholas Carr,
Charlie Granatell and
Andrew DiMisa play for the
Boynton Beach Buccaneers, while
Jake Nolan is on the
Delray Beach Lightning. The Bucs are currently 4-1 overall and second in the league's North Division while the Lightning is 1-3 and in fifth place in the North Division. Carr is currently batting .222 (2-for-9) with one double, three runs, on RBI and three walks. The Saddle River, N.J. native has scored a run in his last three appearances. Granatell owns a .417 (5-for-12) average with three runs, two RBIs, one walk and three stolen base. The Franklin Lakes, N.J. native has collected a hit in all five games. DiMisa is hitting .300 (3-for-10) with two runs, three RBIs and one swiped bag. He went 2-for-3 in a 7-0 win over the Boca Raton Blazers on June 5, scoring once and driving in a run.
