ELON, N.C. – The Elon University women's golf team heads south on Monday and Tuesday when it competes in the Edisto Island Invitational on Oct. 16-17. College of Charleston is hosting the event at the par-71, 5,980-yard Plantation Course at Edisto in Edisto Island, S.C.
TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
- Teams will play two rounds on Monday and the final round on Tuesday. The first round will begin on Monday at 9:00 a.m. with a shotgun start and the second round will begin shortly after the conclusion of the first. Tuesday's final round will also begin with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start.
- The other teams competing in the tournament are Appalachian State, Charleston Southern, College of Charleston, East Carolina, Georgia Southern, Jacksonville, Lipscomb, Longwood, Rollins, The Citadel, Towson, UAB, Western Carolina, William & Mary and Wofford.

LAST TIME OUT
- The Phoenix placed third at the Red Bandanna Intercollegiate on Sept. 25-26 in Milton, Mass.
- Annabelle Ackroyd posted her second consecutive top-10 finish of the season finishing tied for third with an 8-over par 224. She had a team-best par-4 scoring (4.17) and pars (36).
- Ashley Lafontaine also finished in the top-10 for the second straight event this season after placing tied for eighth with a 10-over par 226. She led the team in birdies (8) and par-5 scoring (4.75)
- Lotte Fox shot her lowest round of the week in the final round, finishing with a 54-hole total 234 (+18) to tie for 30th.
- Annie Wu came in a tie for 37th. The sophomore finished with a 54-hole total of 236 and was second-best on the team in birdies with six.
- Junior Andrea Asmundsdottir carded a 23-over par 239 to tie for 45th.
- As a team, Elon finished third in the field with 28 total birdies.
