- Elon returns to South Carolina for the second consecutive week after tying for eighth at the Terrier Intercollegiate on Oct. 12-13. The Phoenix finished the 36-hole tournament at 33-over-par 609 (304-305) at the Country Club of Spartanburg.
- Emma Hansen paced the Phoenix last week with matching rounds of 74, tying for 14th at 4-over 148. It marked the junior's second top-15 finish of the fall after placing fifth at the season-opening Elon Women's Invitational with a 2-over 215.
- Lilli Downer has finished among the top 25 in all three tournaments this fall, averaging 73.00 strokes across eight rounds. The sophomore shared medalist honors at the Elon Women's Invitational, tied for 21st at the Tot Hill Farm Invitational and tied for 22nd last week at 7-over 151 (76-75).
- Kelly Zhao returns to the lineup after last competing at the Tot Hill Farm Invitational on Sept. 28-29. The junior was Elon's second finisher at that event, tying for 38th at 14-over 230 (76-76-78). This week marks her third tournament appearance of the fall after also competing as an individual at the Elon Women's Invitational.
- Freshmen Milagros Giordani and Clémence Chouvin will each make their third collegiate tournament appearance. The duo tied for 31st at the Terrier Intercollegiate at 11-over 155, with Giordani posting rounds of 78-77 and Chouvin shooting 76-79.
- The Phoenix opened the fall with a wire-to-wire victory at the Elon Women's Invitational, shooting 9-over 861 (282-289-290) to finish 21 strokes ahead of runner-up William & Mary. All five golfers in Elon's lineup placed among the top 25. Downer earned her first collegiate individual title at 3-under 210 (72-68-70) and was named the CAA Co-Golfer of the Week following the victory.
- Elon earned a runner-up finish in the 2025 edition of the Edisto Island Invitational last fall, shooting 28-over 880 (294-299-287). Hansen led the way with a third-place individual effort (216, +3) while Zhao tied for 11th at 10-over 223.
- Elon is under new leadership in 2026-27 after naming longtime Alabama assistant Susan Rosenstiel its head coach and Hall of Famer Mic Potter an assistant coach in June. Potter, who won more than 70 tournaments during 43 seasons as a Division I head coach, will serve as interim head coach through Feb. 28 before Rosenstiel officially begins her tenure March 1 following 23 seasons at Alabama that included the 2012 NCAA Championship, three SEC titles and 15 NCAA Championship appearances.
- Elon's roster has an international flair, featuring hometowns in France (Chouvin), Canada (Downer, Hansen, Zhao) and Argentina (Giordani).
