Women’s Tennis Adds Bulger, Kranec For 2024

ELON, N.C. – Head coach Elizabeth Anderson announced two additions to the Elon University women's tennis team's 2024 recruiting class Wednesday, as the Phoenix has signed Heidi Bulger and Lisa Kranec.
 
"We are thrilled about the signing of Lisa and Heidi. Both are extremely strong student-athletes who will make positive impacts both in the classroom and on our team," Anderson said. "Their strong work ethics, determination to continue to improve and competitive spirits fit extremely well with the culture of our team. We are looking forward to their arrival in August."
 
Heidi Bulger
A native of Boca Raton, Fla., Bulger is currently in her senior year as a captain at Heed Academy under head coach John White. A two-time district champion, Bulger has also been named to the South Florida Sun Sentinel All-County First Team twice, as well as the Palm Beach Post All-County Team on two occasions. Bulger was also selected as the Boca Christian MVP in 2021 and 2023. Bulger is considered a four-star prospect according to tennisrecruiting.net. The daughter of Dave and Adele Bulger, she has a brother, George, and sister, Maggie.
Lisa Kranec
Kranec hails from Cary, N.C., and is a four-star prospect according to tennisrecruiting.net. Kranec is a senior at Green Hope High School under head coach Robert Jones. In 2022, she helped guide the Falcons to a 19-0 record and the NCHSAA 4A dual team state championship. In Green Hope's state championship match against Myers Park, Kranec provided two pivotal points, as she earned a 6-0, 6-0 win playing No. 2 singles and an 8-2 victory at No. 1 doubles. Kranec was also named the NCHSAA 4A dual team MVP that season. The daughter of William Kranec and Lorena Bociu, Lisa has a younger sister, Alexandra.
