ELON, N.C. – Junior Scott Vatne and graduate student Franc Gamiz Quer of the Elon University men's soccer team were selected to the All-Atlantic Region Teams as announced by the United Soccer Coaches Association.
 
Vatne received Second Team All-Region laurels while Gamiz Quer was selected to the Third Team.
 
Vatne received his second All-Region selection in his career. The Klepp, Norway, native finished second on the team in points (12) and goals (four) while pacing the squad in assists (four) while being a starter 16 of his 17 matches he has played in this season. Vatne also has a pair of game-winners this season and was selected to the All-CAA First Team this season.
 
Gamiz Quer also earned his second All-Region in as many seasons with the Phoenix. The center back appeared in all 18 games for the Phoenix, making 17 starts along the backline. The Sabadell, Spain, native led the Phoenix in minutes played with 1,514 and scored a pair of goals this season including the game-winner at College of Charleston on Oct. 21.
