Box Score CLEMSON, S.C. – The Elon University women's tennis team bounced back from its Saturday loss with a 6-1 victory against Gardner-Webb on Sunday. The match was played at Clemson's Duckworth Family Tennis Center.

Elizabeth Anderson said. "The team competed very hard and came out with a lot of energy. We are looking forward to hosting Longwood on Wednesday."
The victory improved Elon's record to 4-2 on the season. Gardner-Webb fell to 2-2 with the loss.
THE RUNDOWN
- The Phoenix picked up a pair of 6-1 victories to win the doubles point. Julie Ball and Olivia Archer won in the No. 2 position while the freshman tandem of Madison Cordisco and Helen Sarikulaya won at No. 3.
- Ball picked up Elon's first singles victory of the day in the No. 4 spot, as the senior defeated Gardner-Webb's Valeria Lloclla 6-1, 6-1. Ball is now 4-2 on the season in singles and 2-1 at the No. 4 position. This was the second time this season Ball has won a singles contest by a 6-1, 6-1 score.
- Archer picked up a 6-0, 6-4 win against Elise Semmartin on Court 5 to put the Phoenix ahead 3-0. The victory was the 59th of Archer's career, as the fifth-year senior has now moved into a tie for second with Erica Braschi (2014-18) for the second most singles wins in Elon's Division I history.
- Sibel Tanik won her fifth consecutive singles match to clinch the match for Elon, defeating Gardner-Webb's Manon Delsol in the No. 1 spot 6-1, 6-4. The senior has now won 15 of her last 18 singles contests dating back to last season.
- Miray Konar improved to 3-0 in her Elon career in singles, as the sophomore delivered a 6-3, 6-3 victory on Court 6 against Gardner-Webb's Cayline Le Grange. All three of Konar's wins this season have come at No. 6.
- Sarikulaya battled to a 7-6 (5), 7-5 win on Court 3 against Maria Jardim for her third win of the season at the No. 3 spot.
- After losing the doubles point in its first two matches this season, Elon has won three of its last four doubles points.
- The Phoenix has won at least five singles matches in all four of its wins.
- All four of Elon's victories this season have come by a 6-1 score.

Elon returns home for its first match at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center this season against Longwood on Wednesday. The contest is scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
