Elon, N.C. – The UNCG Spartans (3-5) scored six runs in the top of the ninth to rally to a 10-5 victory over Elon Baseball (4-4) Tuesday evening at Latham Park. The two teams will complete a home-and-home midweek series Wednesday in Greensboro at 4 p.m.
Connor Offshack homered for the third time in four games, a game-tying shot in the bottom of the eighth, and
Connor Coolahan walked three times, including with the bases loaded later in the same inning to bring home the go-ahead run. But the UNCG offense exploded with three homers in the top of the ninth to get the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED

- Connor Coolahan walked to open the inning and Adam Berry followed with a single. Connor Offshack singled home Elon's first run and Luke Stephenson drove home two with a single up the middle later in the inning for a 3-2 Phoenix lead.
- UNC Greensboro tied the game in the top of the fifth with an RBI double and then took a 4-3 lead in the top of the sixth with another RBI double.

Cole Reynolds walked before Will Vergantino also drew a two out walk to load the bases. Coolahan then walked on a full count to give Elon a 5-4 lead.
- In the top of the ninth, UNCG quickly rallied with back-to-back home runs to lead off the inning. A fielding error later in the inning allowed two runs to score and then a Spartan two-run home run gave UNCG a 10-5 lead.
