ELON, N.C. – Nicholas Condos and Ben Zipay have been selected as the Colonial Athletic Association's Doubles Team of the Week, the league office announced on Wednesday. 
 
The pair racked up a 6-2 win in the No. 3 position on Sunday against North Carolina Central, defeating Shaka Cristellotti and Liam Murtaugh to clinch the doubles point for the Phoenix. The tandem won again on Tuesday against Campbell, posting another 6-2 result against Lukas Steffen and Noe Macquart.
 
Prior to Sunday's match, Condos and Zipay had never played doubles together. Zipay made his season debut against the Eagles while Condos picked up his first doubles win of the season. 
 
This is the second time this season Elon has taken home this honor, as Oskar Antinheimo and Daniel Martin were named Co-Doubles Team of the Week on Jan. 25. 
 
Winners of two straight matches, Elon heads to Chapel Hill on Sunday for a 1 p.m. match against No. 12 North Carolina at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.
