Charleston, S.C.- The Elon Phoenix (25-15) and the College of Charleston Cougars (26-14) played through 7.5 innings before a power outage suspended game one of the weekend series. Elon was trailing 2-1 in the bottom half of the eighth inning when the lights surrounding the field suddenly went off.

After a ten-minute delay, it was determined that the final frames will be finished beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday. An in-depth recap of the game will be provided following the conclusion of game two along with the regularly scheduled recap of game two as well.
