ELON, N.C. – The Elon University women's tennis team announced the addition of Ella Suk to the program's 2023 recruiting class on Monday. 
 
"We are very excited to welcome Ella to our team and to see the strong impact that she will make in the classroom and on the court," head coach Elizabeth Anderson said. "She is an incredible competitor, has a tremendous work ethic and is extremely motivated." 
 
A native of Tucker, Ga., Suk is Tennis Recruiting's No. 2 ranked player from Georgia and reached a national ranking of 57 by Tennis Recruiting in 2021. Suk will graduate from the VIP Academy later this month as salutatorian of her class. Her family has a strong sports background, as her mother Gretchen played soccer at Nazareth College, her father Joe was a minor league hockey player and her brother Alex currently plays tennis at Georgia Southern. 
 
Suk plans to major in computer science. She will join fellow incoming freshmen Simone Bergeron and Mariana Reding on the Phoenix for the 2023-24 season. 
 
"We are looking forward to Mariana, Simone and Ella's arrival to campus in August," Anderson said.
