RICHMOND, Va. – Senior
Annabelle Ackroyd has been named to the All-CAA First Team as the Colonial Athletic Association announced its postseason awards for women's golf on Tuesday.
The Calgary, Alberta, native posted seven top-10 results in nine tournaments this season, which included two runner-up results at the Boston College Intercollegiate in September and the Low Country Intercollegiate in March.
Ackroyd finished fifth at April's CAA Championship to earn All-Tournament Team honors. She was also named CAA Player of the Week on Sept. 26 following her runner-up result at the Boston College Intercollegiate.
Her final-round score of 67 at the Edisto Island Invitational in October was the lowest round carded by an Elon player this season. She also broke par in six rounds on the season, more than any other Elon player.
Ackroyd was a part of Elon's two team victories on the season at the William & Mary Invitational and the Elon Invitational and helped the Phoenix to a third-place finish at the CAA Championship, its best result at the tournament since 2015.
College of Charleston's Emma Schimpf was named Golfer of the Year and UNCW's Victoria Levy was named Rookie of the Year. Jamie Futrell of College of Charleston was selected as Coach of the Year.
