ELON, N.C. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced on Monday that the Elon University women's tennis team earned the All-Academic Team Award, while three women's tennis student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes. 
 
In 2023, 1,513 Division I Women's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, and 234 women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
 
The Phoenix earned the team award by maintaining a GPA above a 3.2 for the 2022-23 academic year. This marks the 18th consecutive year Elon has earned this team honor. 
 
Elon's three Scholar-Athletes were Julie Ball, Shauna Galvin and Lizette Reding. They received the honor for maintaining a GPA of at least 3.5 for the entire 2022-23 academic year. 
 
On the court, they helped Elon to a 16-7 record and a trip to the semifinals of the 2023 Colonial Athletic Association Tournament.
