RICHMOND, Va. – Freshman right side hitter Cameron Lanier was named the CAA Rookie of the Week on Monday afternoon, Sept. 18, as announced by the league office. 
 
Lanier posted her first career double-double in Elon's three set match against Hofstra on Saturday, recording 13 kills and 14 digs, along with three blocks and two service aces. The Chapel Hill, N.C. native followed the performance with 12 kills, four digs and two services aces on Sunday. Lanier contributed 3.57 kills per set on a .273 hitting percentage, adding 2.57 digs per set for the maroon and gold over the series at Hofstra.
 
The Phoenix fell in both matches against the Pride over the weekend and will host UNCW for a weekend series on Saturday and Sunday.
