Mark Your Calendars! Elon Baseball Launches 2025 Schedule

Elon, N.C.- Elon University baseball and head coach Mike Kennedy announced their upcoming 2025 season schedule, Monday Dec. 9. The Phoenix will face a grueling schedule, hosting the likes of North Carolina, Wake Forest and East Carolina at Latham Park this Spring.

The Phoenix is slated to play 56 games during the regular season with 33 of those contests being held in the friendly confines of Walter C. Latham Park. The Phoenix will spend the entire month of March in the Carolinas with their CAA slate set to begin on March 21. Elon will play six games against the Power Four conferences with two of those games being played inside Latham Park where the Phoenix have won three straight games against top 10 opponents.

"The 2025 schedule will be a challenging one, to say the least," said head coach Mike Kennedy. "Right out of the gate, we face what might be the best team in the country in SEC power Texas A&M. We will be challenged by some really good clubs in Binghamton and Wofford, among others prior to the start of conference play. The CAA continues to be one of the best mid-major leagues in the country and 2025 will be no different."

"Our state boasts some outstanding baseball throughout, and non-conference midweek games in the state of North Carolina are always challenging," said Kennedy. "Home and home dates with ECU and Wake Forest and a home midweek against UNC highlight some of those games. We are looking forward to the 2025 season and the challenge it brings."

Elon will begin the 2024 campaign by hitting the road to take on what might be the preseason number one team in the country in Texas A&M kicking off Valentine's Day weekend. The Phoenix will welcome Presbyterian for their home opener on Feb. 18 and will continue with their first home, weekend series against Binghamton.

The Phoenix will take on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Feb. 25 at David F. Couch Ballpark in Winston-Salem, then welcome Brown for a weekend series beginning on Feb. 28. Elon then begins a stretch of nine games in 12 days, traveling to Greensboro to take on UNCG on March 5th.

Elon will then play seven straight home games with the likes of Charleston Southern, UMass-Lowell, and Wofford traveling to the confines of Latham Park. Elon will then travel to Spartanburg to take on the Terriers for a one game road swing.

High Point awaits the Phoenix on March 18th with Elon welcoming the Panthers for their first of two midweek games. Elon then begins CAA play that weekend with a road trip to Patriot's Point to take on the College of Charleston Cougars March 21-23.

The Phoenix will return from the Low Country to take on Wake Forest at home for their final game of the home and home series with the Demon Deacons. Delaware will then travel to Latham Park for their final weekend series with the Phoenix as members of the CAA.

The Phoenix will travel for a four-game road swing, April 2-6 travelling to East Carolina then a three-game CAA road series against William & Mary beginning April 4th. For the first time since 2015, Elon will welcome the North Carolina Tar Heels to Latham Park on April 8th. Elon will then host Towson for a three game weekend series before finishing their home and home with UNCG the following Tuesday.

A road series with Monmouth and a trip to High Point follow, with North Carolina A&T coming back to Latham Park for a three-game weekend series beginning on April 25th. The Phoenix welcomes the Pirates of ECU for their penultimate non-conference midweek matchup on April 29. Longwood will enter the confines of Latham Park the following night for another midweek game following Elon's win over Longwood last season.

Entering the final month of the regular season, Elon will travel to Long Island to take on the Hofstra Pride beginning on May 2nd. Elon's final road, CAA series will be against the Campbell Fighting Camels and their revamped roster beginning on May 9th. Elon's final CAA series will feature reigning CAA Tournament champions UNCW. The 2024 CAA Championships will take place in Patriot's Point, S.C. from May 21-24 with NCAA Regionals beginning the following week.
