WEST PALM BEACH, FL. -- Annie Wu is pacing the Elon women's golf team after shooting an even-par 72 in the opening round of the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate to tie for fifth. UNCG is hosting the tournament at the Hammock Creek Golf Club in West Palm, Fla.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Annie Wu is tied for fifth after carding a 72 (E) in the first rounds. Wu carded three birdies to offset three bogeys and leads the team.
- Ashley Lafontaine is tied for 20th place with a three-over par 75. She is tied for the lead in the field with five birdies.
- Lotte Fox and Annabelle Ackroyd are both tied for 26th place recording a 76 (+4) in the first round. Fox leads the Phoenix in pars with 12.
- Andrea Asmundsdottir carded an 84 (+12) for tie for 69th place.
- Competing as an individual, Phoebe Peng is tied for 79th place with a 14-over par 86.
- As a team, Elon is in solo sixth place with an eleven-over par 299.
UP NEXT
- The Phoenix travels to Charleston, S.C. to compete at the Rivertowne Invitational on Feb. 26-27.
