RICHMOND, VA. – Annie Wu was named Co-CAA Women's Golfer of the Week on Wednesday following her first career win at the Rivertowne Invitational at the Rivertowne Country Club in Charleston, S.C.
The sophomore won her first collegiate tournament on Tuesday to help the Phoenix finish third out of 15 teams in the field. Wu has now received back-to-back CAA honors after her two consecutive top-3 performances this spring.
Wu carded three rounds of par or better, including two rounds of two-under par 70. She led the team in birdies with 12, including five in her final round. Wu took the top spot at the tournament with a 54-hole total of 212 (-4).
Elon next plays in the River Landing Classic hosted by UNCW from Mar. 3-4 in Wallace, N.C.
