Elon, N.C. - On Thursday, March 7, the Elon Athletics community came together to raise more than $712,000 in support of Elon student-athletes for the 11th annual Elon Day, Elon University's annual Day of Giving. This marks 11 consecutive years of Elon Day growth for Elon Athletics and represents 23 percent growth in support from last year.   
 
Throughout the day, Elon alumni, parents, fans, and staff participated in various challenges and initiatives to support Elon's 400+ student-athletes. In total, over 1,300 gifts were made by over 1,000 donors to invest in programs, facilities, nutrition, sports performance, and more. The total number of gifts made to support Elon Athletics grew by 41 percent and support from parents grew by 26 percent compared to 2023. Elon Athletics also represented 27 percent of all philanthropic support committed to Elon University throughout Elon Day. 

 

Overall, more than $2.6 million was raised for Elon University this Elon Day, with 6,126 gifts made from donors located around the world. Since 2014, over 51,000 gifts totaling over $21.8 million to support 224 funds in support of Elon University have been made. This culture of philanthropic engagement has become one of Elon's unique campus traditions and experiences and has created a lasting and transformational mark on the campus community and beyond.
