WALLACE, N.C. – Apple Ngamwong is in solo eighth place after firing a 2-over par 146 in the first two rounds of the River Landing Classic. UNCW is hosting the tournament at the par-72, 6,118-yard River Landing Golf Course in Wallace, N.C.
As a team, Elon is in third with a 36-hole total of 599 (+3). James Madison is in the lead with a 582 (+6) while East Carolina is in second with a 16-over par 592.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Apple Ngamwong shot an even-par 72 in the opening round before carding a 74 (+2) in the second round to tie for eighth with a 2-over par 146. Ngamwong leads the team in par-4 scoring average (4.10) and is tied for the lead in the field with 32 pars.
- Ashley Lafontaine is in solo 13th place after recording a 5-over par 149. Lafontaine carded four birdies and an eagle in her first round to be the only golfer in the field to make an eagle on day one. She also leads the team in par-5 scoring average at 4.88.
- Rounds of 75 and 76 have Annabelle Ackroyd in a tie for 20th place. She is second on the team in pars with 25 and is third on the team in par-4 scoring average (4.20).
- As an individual, Charlotte Scully improved her second round by four strokes to end the day with a 12-over par 156 tying for 38th place in the individual standings.
- Annie Wu is tied for 42nd place with a 36-hole total of 157 (+13). Wu is tied for a team-best in birdies with five.
- Lotte Fox sits in a tie for 45th place after carding rounds of 77 and 81, finishing the day at 158 (+14).
- Andrea Asmundsdottir shot a 160 (+16) in the first day to tie for 51st place.
- As individuals, Sakura Kawakami is in 58th place with an 18-over par 162 while Phoebe Peng is in solo 66th plave with a 171 (+27).
- As a team, Elon is third in the field in par-4 scoring average at 4.22 and pars with 115.
