RICHMOND, Va. – Elon University women's golfer Apple Ngamwong has been named Co-CAA Women's Golfer of the Week, as announced by the conference on Wednesday afternoon, March 6.

Ngamwong finished runner-up in a field of 74 players at this week's River Landing Classic at the River Landing Golf Course in Wallace, N.C. The senior from Bangkok, Thailand, fired a 1-over par 54-hole total of 217 to post her best finish so far this spring season. Her performance helped the maroon and gold finish second in the team standings, defeating three fellow CAA teams in North Carolina A&T, Towson and UNCW.

Ngamwong fired two rounds of par of better, shooting a one-under par 71 in the final round to move up six spots on the individual leaderboard. She led the entire field in pars with 45 while also pacing the team across the board in par-3 scoring (3.00), par-4 scoring (4.10) and par-5 scoring (4.83).
