SOUTHPORT, N.C. – Apple Ngamwong is in the lead for the Phoenix following day two at the CAA Championship. Ngamwong carded another round of 78 (+6) to tie for ninth place including two birdies and eight pars on the day. The tournament is being held at The Reserve Club at St. James, a par-72, 6,013-yard course in Southport, N.C.

Elon improved its opening round score by three strokes with a 315 (+27) on the day to sit in solo fifth place. UNCW continues to lead the field with a 36-over par 612 followed by Delaware with a 617 (+41).
 
HIGHLIGHTS 

• Apple Ngamwong paces Elon after day two with a 12-over par 156. Ngamwong carded two birdies on the front nine and is tied for ninth. She leads the Phoenix in par-4 scoring average (4.25) and is second on the team in birdies with four.
• Annie Wu carded a second-round score of 81 (+14) to tie for 18th place. Wu ended her front nine with five straight pars and a birdie to lead the team in birdies (5) and par-5 scoring average (5.25).
• Annabelle Ackroyd is in a tie for 21st place after carding a 7-over par 79 in her second round. Ackroyd is tied for second in the field in pars with 23 and is tied for second on the team in par-3 scoring average (3.25).
• Ashley Lafontaine improved her first-round score by seven strokes moving up 10 spots on the individual leaderboard to tie for 25th place. She carded three birdies and seven pars on the day and is tied for second on the team in par-3 scoring average (3.25).
• Lotte Fox shot a 9-over par 81 in round two moving into a tie for 31st place. Fox carded 10 pars on the day and currently leads the team in par-3 scoring average at 3.13.
• As a team, Elon is tied for third in the field in birdies with 16 and fourth in the field in par-5 scoring (5.33) and pars (86).
