SOUTHPORT, N.C. – The Elon University women's golf team shot its lowest score of the tournament in the final round on Sunday at the CAA Championship to finish in fifth place. The tournament was held at The Reserve Club at St. James, a par-72, 6,013-yard course in Southport, N.C.

Elon posted a 16-over par 304 in the final round to finish fifth with a 54-hole total of 937 (+73). Delaware won the tournament for the first time since winning back-to-back championships in 2016 and 2017 with a 45-over par 909 while College of Charleston and UNCW tied for second at 913 (+49).
Apple Ngamwong was Elon's top finisher and finished in the top 10 tying for seventh place. Lilia Henkel won the individual title winning the playoff hole and finishing with a 7-over par 223.
HIGHLIGHTS
- For the second straight year, Apple Ngamwong earned a top-15 result at the CAA Championship, as the senior tied for seventh place. Ngamwong carded a tournament-low score of 74 (+2) including two birdies and 12 pars on the day. She led the field in par-4 scoring average (4.13) and paced the team in birdies (6).
- A final round score of 77 (+5) saw Annie Wu finish tied for 18th place. Wu carded nine straight pars at one point in the round, ending with 14 on the day. She paced the team in par-5 scoring average (5.17) and tied for second in pars (28) and birdies (5).
- Annabelle Ackroyd finished in solo second place after carding a tournament-low 77 (+5) in her final round. Ackroyd carded three birdies and nine pars to finish with a team-best 32 pars.
- Ashley Lafontaine cut off one stroke from her second-round score to move up one spot in the individual standing to tie for 23rd place with a 54-hole total of 237 (+21). Lafontaine finished second on the team in par-3 scoring average (3.33) and birdies (5).
- Lotte Fox carded her best score of the tournament with a six-over par 78. She finished with two birdies and nine pars on the day to finish tied for 31st place. She led the team in par-3 scoring average (3.25) and tied for second on the team in birdies (5).
- As a team, Elon finished fourth in the field in pars (140) and birdies (25).
