Richmond, Va. – Elon University senior Sammy Fisher has been named to the 2025 Preseason All-CAA Team and sophomore Reagan Kuehn was named 2025 Preseason CAA Honorable Mention. As well, the Phoenix was picked to finish fourth in the preseason coaches poll.
 
In the preseason coaches poll, defending conference champion Stony Brook received 7-of-9 first place votes and was picked as the favorite once again. Drexel and Towson split the other two first place votes and were picked second and third. Elon, which earned a spot in the CAA semifinals a year ago, was picked fourth, just ahead of Hofstra. Delaware, Monmouth, William & Mary and Campbell rounded out the poll.
 
Fisher was one of five attackers to be named to the Preseason All-CAA Team. She was second team All-CAA a year ago after leading Elon with 37 goals and 44 points. She also had 14 ground balls, 16 draw controls and five caused turnovers. She ranks fifth in program history with 82 career goals entering the 2025 season and sixth with 96 career points. She also ranks among Elon's career top 10 in shots, free position goals and draw controls. Her 21 goals and 23 points in conference play were the most by an Elon player in a single-season against CAA opponents in program history.
 
Kuehn was recognized as an honorable mention defender just one season after making a splash in her freshman campaign. She led Elon with 36 ground balls and 24 caused turnovers, both among the top five single-seasons in program history. She added a program-record 11 caused turnovers in conference play and she recorded at least one caused turnover in 11 straight games to open her collegiate career.
 
Elon opens the 2025 regular season on Feb. 7 as the Phoenix plays at Duke at 3:00 p.m. The team then returns home for five straight games beginning on Feb. 12 against Queens at 5:00 p.m. That five-game homestand includes contests against East Carolina, Virginia Tech, VCU and Notre Dame.
