ELON – The Elon University women's tennis team racked up 11 victories to close out the Elon Fall Invitational at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center on Saturday.

Junior Alexis Nyborg won the singles competition with 16 points after going 3-0 in the event. She outlasted VCU's Amelie Brozova 6-7 (4), 7-6 (1), 10-3 on Saturday to cap off her perfect weekend in singles. Nyborg is still unbeaten this fall in singles with a 6-0 record.

Elon's duo of Cornelia Kack and Lisa Kranec took home the win in the doubles competition with nine points following a 3-0 weekend together. They won a pair of matches Saturday to secure the victory in the doubles event.

Helen Sarikulaya and Nyborg teamed up for the first time in doubles this fall Saturday, winning their match 8-6. The Phoenix won five of eight doubles contests on the day.

Joining Nyborg at with a 6-0 singles record this fall were Cornelia Kack and Helen Sarikulaya, both of whom won in straight sets Saturday. Sarikulaya is the lone Phoenix this fall that is yet to drop a set in singles.

Mariana Reding, Madison Cordisco and Lisa Kranec also added singles victories Saturday to cap off the tournament. Cordisco came through a match tiebreak after losing the first set of her match in a tiebreak.

In total, the Phoenix won 27 matches this weekend, with 18 singles victories and nine doubles triumphs. Elon has won 58 matches across doubles and singles in its first two fall tournaments.
