WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Elon women's basketball team fell to Georgetown, 93-57, on Monday night at McDonough Arena.
Quinzia Fulmore reached double figures for the second time this season, leading the team with 12 points, while
LaNae' Corbett added 10.
Elon drops to 2-3, while Georgetown improves to 4-2.
THE RUNDOWN
- Georgetown opened with a 9–2 lead, but Elon cut it to 11–8 on baskets from LaNae' Corbett and Quinzia Fulmore. The Hoyas closed the quarter ahead 21–12.
- Elon was outscored 19-5 to start the second quarter, trailing 40-17 with 4:29 remaining in the half. Laila Anderson scored two late baskets to trim the Hoyas' lead to 52-29 at halftime.
- Corbett scored back-to-back baskets to start the third, narrowing the gap to 19, but Georgetown finished the quarter on a 23–10 run, leading 75–43.
- The teams traded baskets in the fourth, but an 8–0 surge from the Hoyas put the game out of reach, with Elon eventually falling 93-57.
