ELON, N.C. – The Elon University women's golf team will continue its spring season Sunday as the Phoenix will compete at the Rivertowne Invitational. Charleston Southern is hosting the tournament at the RiverTowne Country Club in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION  

• The teams will play two 18-hole rounds on Monday followed by the final round on Tuesday. The first round will begin on Monday with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. and the second round will begin following the conclusion of the first. Tuesday's final round will begin with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. 
• The other teams competing in the tournament are Charleston Southern, Cincinnati, Fairleigh Dickinson, High Point, Long Island, Marshall, North Carolina A&T, Radford, Richmond, The Citadel, UNC Asheville, USC Upstate and Winthrop.

LAST TIME OUT

• The Phoenix tied for fourth at their first spring tournament last Tuesday, with a 54-hole total of 883 (+19).
• Kelly Zhao posted her first top-five finish of the spring, placing fourth with a 2-under-par 214. She recorded three rounds of par or better, including back-to-back scores of 71 (-1) and an even-par 72 in the final round.
• Garland Gould had a team-best 11 total birdies where she tied for 24^th with a 6-over par 222.
• Ashley Lafontaine carded Elon's lowest round score of the tournament with a 70 (-2) to surge 26 spots on the leaderboard and finish tied for 24^th place.
• Emma Hansen tied for 37th place with a 54-hole total of 225 (+9) while Annie Wu finished in 93^rd place with a 252 (+36).
• As an individual, Andrea Asmundsdottir jumped seven spots on the leaderboard, tying for 76th place with a 23-over-par 239. She carded a 77 (+5) in the final round, highlighted by four birdies.
