Reagan Kuehn Named CAA Defensive Player Of The Week

Richmond, Va. – Elon University sophomore Reagan Kuehn has been named the Coastal Athletic Association's (CAA) Defensive Player of the Week following two strong performances for the Phoenix.

Kuehn had a career-high five caused turnovers in a 17-15 loss at High Point midweek. She added four ground balls in the Phoenix's final preparations for conference play.

On Saturday, in a CAA-opening 14-10 win at Monmouth, Kuehn had two more caused turnovers and tied her career-high with five ground balls. She had two of those ground balls and a caused turnover during a pivotal third quarter in which Elon shut out the Hawks and built a 13-7 lead heading into the fourth.

With that win, Elon improved to 4-4 on the year and 1-0 in CAA play. It was the Phoenix's fifth consecutive CAA regular season win dating back to the 2024 season. Elon will look to improve to 2-0 in conference play Sunday by hosting Hofstra at 11:00 a.m.
