DURHAM, N.C. – Members of the Elon University women's track and field team stood out at the Duke Twilight on Sunday evening, May 4, with several personal-records established on the track and Morris Williams Stadium.
Mikayla Jones clocked in a time of 16:01.59 in the 5,000-meters, setting a personal-record while finishing fifth overall in the race. Her performance also moves her into the top 55 Division I East performance list.
Mariana Martinez was 18
th overall with her personal-best time of 16:43.75.
In the 800-meters, the trio of
Shayla Cann,
Gabi Walker and
Abby Beville all set new personal-records in the race. Cann led the Phoenix with her time of 2:08.58, the second-best time in school history. Walker posted a time of 2:09.82 to move into the program's top-10 performance list. Beville clocked a time of 2:13.18.
Quinn Smith ran a new personal-record of 4:27.40 in the 1,500-meters as the sophomore also snuck into the Phoenix's top-10 all-time list.

• The CAA Outdoor Championships is on deck for the Phoenix, taking place at North Carolina A&T on May 14-15.
