Elliston Garners Sixth CAA Outdoor Coach of the Year Honor

RICHMOND, Va. – Elon University Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Mark Elliston was named the 2025 CAA Women's Outdoor Track & Field Coach of the Year as announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon, June 26.

Elliston helped lead the Phoenix to the 2025 CAA Outdoor Track & Field title, the program's fourth league championship in the past five seasons. Elon scored 147 points at the league meet and had four athletes win individual CAA titles. The Phoenix ended the meet with 10 athletes earning All-CAA honors.

Elon's win this spring was the sixth CAA outdoor trophy that the maroon and gold has captured since joining the league in 2014. It was also the seventh CAA track and field title overall, including the Phoenix's 2024 indoor crown.

Elliston's six CAA Women's Outdoor Coach of the Year accolades rank second all-time in the CAA after Norm Gordon's seven from George Mason. It is also the ninth Coach of the Year award overall for Elliston in his 19 years at Elon.
