NEW ORLEANS – The Elon University women's track and field team was honored as a U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team as announced by the association on Monday, July 21.
In addition to the team accolade, three Phoenix student-athletes —
Mikayla Jones (Master of Business Analytics),
Lizzie Lopez (Biology) and
Madison Synowiec (Master of Business Analytics) — were recognized as USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes.
As a team, Elon put together a 3.616 cumulative GPA for the 2024-25 academic year, eclipsing the 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale requirement by the organization.
To qualify individually, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale and have completed at least two semesters or three quarters at their nominating institution. Athletes must also rank among the top 96 nationally in any individual event or top 48 in any championship relay during the indoor season. During the outdoor season, athletes must rank in the top 48 in either the East or West Region and have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
