ELON, N.C. – The Elon University women's tennis team has added three newcomers for the 2025-26 season. The Phoenix will welcome
Cornelia Kack,
Alexis Nyborg and
Nathalie Marinovitch this fall.
Kack, a sophomore from Sigtuna, Sweden, played at Delaware last season. She earned All-CAA Third Team honors in doubles and notched a pair of CAA Doubles Team of the Week selections. She went 18-3 in singles with the Blue Hens while adding 13 doubles victories. Kack became Delaware's highest ever ranked individual in the ITA rankings last spring, climbing to No. 112.
A junior from Moreland Hills, Ohio, Nyborg comes to Elon after spending two seasons at UNC Asheville. During her time there, she was a two-time All-Big South honoree in singles and was also named the conference's 2024 Freshman of the Year. Nyborg won seven dual singles matches in 2025 after winning 14 in 2024.
Marinovitch will join the Phoenix this fall as a freshman. She hails from Cochabamba, Bolivia, and has played for the country's Billie Jean King Cup team. She won a pair of ITF junior doubles titles in 2023.
The three newcomers will join five returners that helped the Phoenix win its first CAA title and earn an NCAA Tournament berth last spring.
