ELON – Elon football opens its 2025 season under the lights Thursday night with a short trip to face ACC opponent Duke. Kickoff at Wallace Wade Stadium in Durham is set for 7:30 p.m. with ACCNX broadcasting the contest.

SETTING THE STAGE

• It's the second straight year that Duke and Elon open the season against one another. The Blue Devils lead the all-time series 8-0-1, having won last year's opener in Durham, 26-3.
• The Phoenix went 6-6 in 2024 and closed out the season on a four-game winning streak, during which they averaged 38.0 points per game and earned a road win at then-No. 20 William & Mary. Elon finished 2024 with a 4-2 record on the road.
• The Blue Devils finished 9-4 in 2024 and 5-1 at Wallace Wade Stadium.
• Both Elon and Duke had success against in-state foes last season, with the Phoenix finishing 3-2 against opponents from the Old North State. Duke completed an in-state sweep of their three rivals – North Carolina, Wake Forest and NC State – in 2024.
