Elon maintained control throughout the opening half, briefly pushing the margin to double figures during a six-minute stretch midway through the period before the Aggies closed within one possession by the break.
Â

Â
The contest tightened in the early stages of the second half, and North Carolina A&T pulled even at 43-43 before a pivotal sequence swung momentum back to the Phoenix.
