COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Elon women's tennis team continued play in both singles and doubles Sunday at ITA Carolina Regionals on day four of the tournament at the Carolina Tennis Center.

Cornelia Kack and Iga Piotrowska reached the quarterfinals of the main doubles draw after an 8-6 third-round victory Sunday against Mariya Dobreva and Mia Miranda of Western Carolina. The duo then squared off against Furman's Lillie Murphy and Elle Warren in the quarterfinals, falling in a tiebreak.

Kack and Piotrowska are the second Phoenix doubles tandem to reach the quarterfinals at ITA Carolina Regionals in the last three years. Miray Konar and Helen Sarikulaya made it all the way to the semifinals in 2024.

Lisa Kranec and Alexandria Warsing pushed NC State's Jasmine Conway and Ariana Anazagasty-Pursoo, the ITA's No. 23 ranked doubles team, to a tiebreak in their third-round doubles match but came up just short. Simone Bergeron and Mariana Reding also played a third-round doubles match against a ranked ITA doubles tandem, falling 8-3 against No. 54 Anna Bella Bianca Bergqvist Larsson and Kaitlyn Carnicella from South Carolina.

In singles, Bergeron advanced in the consolation draw with a 3-6, 6-2, 10-7 triumph against Wake Forest's Lillian Santos. She will continue Monday in the consolation draw with a 10:35 a.m. match against Eva Oxford, another Demon Deacon.
