RICHMOND, Va. – Elon forward Dominik Renz was tabbed as the CAA Player of the Year and was one of five Phoenix to earn All-CAA recognition Thursday as the conference unveiled its postseason men's soccer awards.

Renz was also an All-CAA First Team selection along with Oscar Tonidandel. Jahmir Flowers and Drew Hartman received Second Team accolades while Magnus Jacobsen landed on the Third Team.

Renz is the second Phoenix in the last three years to take home CAA Player of the Year after Scott Vatne became the first Elon player to win it in 2024. This is Renz's second major CAA award after earning Rookie of the Year last fall.

Renz enters the CAA Tournament as the conference's leader in both points (24) and goals (10). He was the lone CAA scorer to reach double-digit goals, with four coming in conference play. The forward scored in both ends of Elon's home-and-home series against Campbell and College of Charleston. He also netted his first career hat trick against Guilford as part of a seven-point night. Renz had four assists in the regular season with two coming in a victory against Radford.

Tonidandel earned his first all-conference nod on the First Team after finishing the regular season with 12 points, the second most on the Phoenix. He enters the CAA Tournament third in the conference with a team-best eight assists. Five of the helpers came in conference play, highlighted by two assists in a road win against William & Mary. Tonidandel also converted a pair of penalty kicks on the season and started all 17 matches in Elon's midfield.

Hartman was chosen as the Second Team goalie after starting all eight of Elon's conference matches in goal. The first-year starter posted a 6-1-6 record and logged six clean sheets on the campaign, including in each of his last three starts. He was named CAA Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 26 following a shutout against then-No. 15 Wake Forest and also pitched a shutout in Elon's road victory at Duke. Hartman led all CAA goalies in the regular season in goals against average (0.62) and save percentage (.818).

Flowers landed on the Second Team with career highs in goals (4) and points (9). The senior scored four goals in Elon's first six matches with a three-point effort coming in a season-opening victory over VMI. He scored a conference goal in a road win at Campbell and also tallied goals against Old Dominion and Radford. It is the first All-CAA selection for Flowers.

Jacobsen rounded out Elon's All-CAA selections with a Third Team nod. The defender led all Phoenix with 1,483 minutes on the pitch this season, going the full 90 minutes in 15 of 17 starts. He scored three goals, including a pair in conference matches against William & Mary (8/30) and Campbell (10/30). He also added an assist in Elon's victory against Radford. Jacobsen was named CAA Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 2 and to the TopDrawer Soccer Team of the Week on Nov. 3 after helping Elon to a shutout against Campbell.

The Phoenix continues its season Thursday in the quarterfinals of the CAA Tournament. Elon is the No. 2 seed from the South Division and will host No. 3 seed College of Charleston at 5 p.m. at Rudd Field.
