ELON – The Elon women's golf team will compete in the Daniel Island Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at the Daniel Island Club in Charleston, South Carolina. The two-day, 54-hole tournament begins at 8:45 a.m. ET Monday with 36 continuous holes, with the Phoenix grouped alongside James Madison and Oral Roberts.
Round three begins with a 9 a.m. ET shotgun start Tuesday.
It marks the Phoenix's third event in South Carolina during the 2025-26 season. Elon placed fifth at the Terrier Intercollegiate and finished second at the Edisto Island Invitational last October.

Elon tied for seventh in its spring opener at the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate in West Palm, Florida, finishing at 50-over 914. The Phoenix lowered its team score in each round at Hammock Creek Golf Club, capped by a third-round 298. After recording four top-five finishes during the 2025 fall season, Elon looks to regain that form in Charleston this week.

Ashley Lafontaine continued her strong 2025-26 campaign with a ninth-place finish at the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate — her fifth top-10 result in six tournaments. Lafontaine carded a 5-over 221 in West Palm and owns a 73.4 scoring average through 17 rounds. She has not finished lower than 17th in any event this season.
