The teams traded two more goals each to close out the half, with Vandiver completing her hat trick and Coleman extending her scoring streak to nine. The Phoenix took a 6-5 advantage into the locker room.
- Addie Gilner scored in the opening minutes of the third quarter to re-establish Elon's two-goal lead, but the Camels responded with the next two tallies to tie the game, 7-7. Hackett put Elon back in front before Campbell tied the game again entering the final frame.
- Campbell scored the first two of the fourth quarter to take a 10-8 lead with 9:23 remaining in regulation.

- Campbell won the ensuing draw but Elon got the ball back with just over 1:40 left. Austin drew a foul with roughly a minute on the clock and then converted on a free position attempt to tie the game, 10-10.
- The Camels again won the next draw but Elon's defense forced Campbell into a desperation shot in the closing seconds that went wide, sending the contest to overtime.
- Arianna Kouchalakos secured the first draw control in overtime for Elon. On the first possession, a Vandiver effort was stopped by Campbell's keeper. After getting ball back later in the period, Campbell again stymied an Austin effort. Campbell took a shot clock violation on the final possession of the first overtime period as the game went to a second extra frame.
- Campbell got the first possession of double overtime, with Walsh stopping two Camels shots to keep the game alive. Santa Barbara and Gwen Eilender both put shots on target on Elon's first possession of the period but they were both stopped by Campbell.
- Mimi Economus forced a turnover with just over 30 seconds left in the second overtime to give Elon the final possession. With time running down, a cutting Hackett found an open Scalzo in front of the net, who beat the buzzer to seal the comeback win for the Phoenix.
