ELON – The Elon baseball team (17-26, 8-16 CAA) was upended by UNCW (25-18, 13-8 CAA), 8-1 on Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Seahawks finished off a sweep of the Phoenix.
Vince Fattore recorded his second multi-hit game fo the weekend in the loss.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- UNCW jumped out in front early with a two-run home run in the top of the first.
- The Seahawks added another two runs on a second, two-run homer of the game in the second.
- UNCW added a fifth run in the top of the third to take a 5-0 advantage.
- The Seahawks closed the door with a three-run seventh inning to take an 8-0 lead.
- Elon scored its lone run of the game in the ninth with an RBI single from Vince Fattore.

- Vince Fattore had the lone multi-hit game for the Phoenix. Fattore finishes his weekend with two home runs, five RBI and a pair of multi-hit games.
- Charlie Evans and Connor Roche both delivered off the bench with pinch hit singles in the loss.
