DURHAM – Four members of the Elon women's track & field team competed in the first four Heptathlon events at the Duke Invitational on Wednesday at Morris Williams Stadium.
The day included five personal bests, one season best and one top-10 all-time program mark between the four Phoenix in competition. Freshman
Greta Urbonaviciute tallied three personal bests, highlighted by a 1.66m (5'5.75") mark in the high jump that moved her into a tie for No. 6 on Elon's all-time list.
Fellow freshmen
Irene Blanco Garcia (1.57m/5'1.75") and
Carolina Frada (1.48m/4'10.25") also recorded personal bests in the high jump, while
Lizzie Lopez added a season-best effort (1.63m/5'4.25").
Urbonaviciute leads the Phoenix and sits in 13th overall in the Heptathlon with 2,981 points.
