ELON – Seven Phoenix will represent the Elon women's track & field team at the 2026 NCAA East First Round this week, hosted at the UK Outdoor Track & Field Complex in Lexington, Kentucky. Competition begins Thursday with six of the program-record seven Phoenix in action, followed by further women's events continuing Saturday.

SIGHTS SET ON EUGENE
The seven Phoenix competing this week will look to punch their tickets to the upcoming NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon, in June, with the top 12 competitors in each individual event advancing. Elon's lone NCAA Championships qualifier was Bryanna Hames (discus) in 2017.
CAA CHAMPIONS IN THE MIX
Three of Elon's seven competitors won individual titles at the CAA Championships on May 15-16, including Duna Viñals (400m Hurdles),
Katie Blount (10,000m, 5,000m) and
Jaqueline Zacharias (Javelin).
