Elon Women’s Soccer Announces 2026 Schedule

Phoenix Slated To Play 17 Games, Including Eight At Rudd Field

ELON The Elon women's soccer team unveiled its 2026 schedule Wednesday. The reigning CAA champions will play 17 regular season games, including eight home contests at Rudd Field.

After a pair of exhibition games against USC Upstate (Aug. 5) and at Wake Forest (Aug. 8), Elon kicks off its regular season on Aug. 13 at Rudd against VCU. The Phoenix will then play three straight matches on the road against South Carolina State (Aug. 20), NC State (Aug. 23) and Davidson (Aug. 27) before closing out the month at home on Aug. 30 against High Point.

The Phoenix opens September with a two-game road swing against VMI (Sept. 3) and American (Sept. 6). Elon closes out nonconference play on Sept. 13 against Charleston Southern at Rudd, which begins a season-long four-match homestand that includes CAA clashes against Campbell (Sept. 20), Stony Brook (Sept. 24) and Hofstra (Sept. 27). The tilt against the Seawolves will be a rematch of last fall's CAA championship match.

Elon then hits the road for conference games against UNCW (Oct. 3), Northeastern (Oct. 8) and Monmouth (Oct. 11). The Phoenix rounds out October with home CAA fixtures against William & Mary (Oct. 18) and Hampton (Oct. 25), with the match against the Pirates set as Senior Day. Elon wraps up the regular season on Nov. 1 with a road test at College of Charleston.

This is the second season the CAA will feature two divisions for women's soccer. Elon will compete in the South Division alongside Campbell, Charleston, Hampton, UNCW and William & Mary and play each of these teams once. Additionally, the Phoenix will face four teams from the North Division – Hofstra, Monmouth, Northeastern and Stony Brook. All nine matches will count toward the CAA South standings.

The top three teams in the North and South division at the conclusion of the regular season will qualify for the CAA Championship, which will be contested over two weekends from Nov. 5-14. The No. 2 seed in each division will host the No. 3 seed on the first weekend, with the winners moving on to face the No. 1 seed in each division. The highest remaining seed will then host the championship match on the second weekend. If both teams have the same divisional seed, the team with the most points in the regular season will host.

Elon won its second CAA title last season after finishing third in the South Division. The Phoenix won its quarterfinal match at William & Mary and its semifinal at UNCW before outlasting Stony Brook in penalty kicks in the championship match. Elon went 11-3-7 overall last season and made its second appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
