ELON – Elon Athletics continued its department-wide momentum during the 2025-26 academic year, achieving historic success in competition, in the classroom and through its fundraising efforts.
Â
Along with winning seven Coastal Athletic Association championships and posting a department-record 3.444 cumulative grade point average, Elon Athletics raised more than $6 million in cash gifts and pledges. The total represented an increase of more than 39% from the previous year.
Â
Elon Athletics also surpassed $1 million in sport-specific annual giving for the first time. That total marked a 50% increase from 2024-25 and reflected the breadth of philanthropic support across the department's 17 varsity programs.
Â
More than 2,300 donors contributed to Elon Athletics during the year. Former student-athletes accounted for 16% of those donors, while more than 20% of current student-athlete families supported the department's fundraising efforts.
Â
"I continue to be amazed and humbled by the generosity of the Elon community and its commitment to supporting our student-athletes," Elon Director of Athletics Jennifer Strawley said. "When we launched our vision and strategic plan last summer, we spoke boldly about the importance of winning and creating the infrastructure needed to compete at a championship level and prepare our student athletes for a life of impact. The financial support of our community fuels that ambition and positions Elon Athletics for sustained success as we look toward the future."
