ELON – Elon Athletics celebrated another record-setting Night of the Phoenix on Friday, Sept. 18, as more than 400 members of the Elon community gathered inside Schar Center for the 19th annual event.
 
The department's premier fundraising event generated $705,693 in support of Elon student-athletes, representing 11% growth from the previous year. The record-setting total also pushed the philanthropic support generated through Night of the Phoenix to more than $5 million since the event began nearly two decades ago.
 
The evening celebrated the accomplishments and legacy of Elon Athletics while investing in its future. The program highlighted a historic 2025-26 season in which the Phoenix captured seven Coastal Athletic Association championships, the most in a single academic year by any CAA institution since Elon joined the conference. The evening also recognized the 2025-2026 Elon Sports Hall of Fame class ahead of its induction ceremony the following morning.
 
Guests also participated in a silent auction featuring more than 280 trips, experiences and packages, along with opportunities throughout the evening to make philanthropic investments directly supporting the future of Elon Athletics and the student-athlete experience.
 
"Night of the Phoenix is a powerful reflection of what makes this Elon community so special," Elon Director of Athletics Jenn Strawley said. "I am deeply grateful to all who helped make Friday evening so impactful. Your generosity helps transform the lives of our student-athletes and allows us to continue chasing excellence in all we do."
 
Night of the Phoenix has grown into Elon Athletics' largest annual fundraising event, bringing together alumni, parents, donors, friends and community members in support of the Phoenix.
